Arriving

Wild by Nature, Lower House Farm, Longtown, Hereford HR2 0NT

Feel free to arrive anytime on the Friday (or Saturday morning up until 1230). The tents will be set up and ready for you with the beds made. The local area is beautiful and there are some great walks near the farm, including along the border with Wales at the top of Black Darren Mountain or to Longtown Castle (we’ll have some more detailed walk ideas available nearer the time). There will also be croquet and a variety of other lawn games available to keep you entertained!

The tent stuff

  1. Your glamorous tent assistants will be Anna Seely and Alex Handy, so if you have any questions or issues they are your first port of call.
  2. Please do make sure to tidy up after yourself. Think proper wild etiquette “leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but pictures, kill nothing but time” (yes it’s cheesy, we know!)
  3. Short showers please! There are only two showers so make sure you leave plenty of time on Saturday morning pre-ceremony, there may be a queue! They are both electric so there shouldn’t be any issues with hot water throughout the morning.
  4. No music or loud noise after midnight due to the local licensing rules. The venue have said chatter is totally fine.

Food

Friday night is fairly informal so eat on the way over or bring something to eat at the farm. Lower House Farm are totally ok with people bringing portable BBQs, so long as the grass doesn’t get burned that is also an option. There is a sweet village farm shop in Longtown called Hopes of Longtown where you could buy provisions (it closes at 5.30pm on a Friday). It’s a five minute drive from the farm or 35minute walk.

On Saturday morning Lower House Farm will serve up some breakfast baps, coffee, tea, and juice. We will also pop some snacks in the chill out tent.

On Sunday morning cooked brunch will be served at either 9:30 or 10:00 (TBC).

Leaving

We’re waiting for the farm to let us know what time they want us all to clear off so we’ll post back here once we know!
